To concur with previous reviews the brakes do not work properly. the brake pads rub the wheel making it hard for my daughter to ride the bike. I then tried to release the brakes armed with allen key and spanner. all this results in is the brakes not working at all. therefore the choice is either you detach the brakes (no brakes) or they will rub making it harder to cycle. I personally detached the front brakes and loosened back brakes

I would recommend going to a shop and trying the bikes before you buy.

Easy to put together & no big problems with it at all. Only complaint would be that the tassles on the handle bars aren't secured very well. We leave a trail of foil strips everywhere we go. They were one of the reasons my daughter chose this bike but don't think it will be long before they're all gone!

my parents bought this for my 5 year old last summer. can't believe it's from Raleigh, which I thought was a reputable brand. it's badly made, the tassles all fell off within days, but the worse, and most dangerous fault of this cheap import bike, is the brakes do not work - AT ALL, obviously making this now impossible to ride anywhere but in the park where she can throw herself off when she needs to stop. we even took it to a bike surgery to get them fixed, but were told they couldn't be fixed. will NEVER buy Raleigh again, and disappointed that Amazon even list this deathtrap. I appreciate it's quite a cheap price, but just pay more and get your kid something that's worth the money.

I did a lot of research before I decided on this bike. It is great value for money. Super quick delivery. Very comfortable saddle. Mud guards and rear carrier included-its the little things! Note: The colour is more hot pink than burgundy-not a major issue.



The assembly was not difficult and took under half an hour. I have been using the bike to commute for 3 weeks now and have had no trouble. If, like me, you don't have a lot of experience with bikes I would recommend having it checked over by a bike enthusiast (a friend maybe?) before riding it-just in case!



The only problem I have with this bike is the weight. It is heavy if you need to carry it up flights of stairs. This is reflected in the price of the bike as to buy a light weight frame you would need to spend at least double if not triple the cash. Then again, if this doesn't affect you then the bike is perfect!

The bike itself is good. Arrive on time.

I quite like the shape of the bike. However, the guide of installation is really poor, the picture is blur and the description is not exactly for this bike. It took me a few hours to figure out. And the two support legs of the front mudguard are not the same in terms of length! No wonder I cannot make it in the right place. So, I have to request a replacement of that part. But, they have send me a whole new bike. Again, I have to wait at home for delivery and afterwards, another scheduled appointment for them to pick up the rest of the second order. Which is the bad part of the story. I hope you will not experience that. Also, if you are a female and do not have somebody around to help, I will not suggest you to do that by yourself. As the second day, my fingers and arms were really sore!

When ordered I did not realise this bike came only part assembled. It was actually assembled easy enough by someone who knew a little about bikes but the gears were something else.

No matter how much I peddled none of the power seemed to go through to the bike. In the end it was a rebuild job by the local bike shop.

When I first unpacked the bike was impressed by the looks. Once assembled I found that I could not select the top gears and found that the deraileur was not properly secured to the frame. Having tightened the deraileur and tried to get top gear, found that I had to take out all the adjustment, this did not seem right. Having acheived the adjustment on top gear found that when I tried to go down as low as gear position 4, the deraileur smashed into the wheel. On closer inspection it turned out that the rear drop-out to which the deraileur is attached was bent. On straightening the drop out it was obvious that the deraileur was also bent. Had to take it to bits and straighten the components. The rear gear change cable was badly kinked and required renewing. At the front the brakes were hard to adjust right and I realised that both the brake shoes were the same hand. One was long at the back edge, and one was long at the front edge. After much tinkering the bike was ready for the road. On the return from the first ride found that the bearing caps on both pedals were missing. This means that I will have to buy new pedals, not good on a new bike!. So thats new pedals, new gear cable and new brake blocks all on a new bike. Having had a good moan, I have to say that after fixing the bike have ridden a couple of hundred trouble free miles and find the bike very good to ride. It seems obvious that Quality Control on this product is not very tight and needs reviewing.

I brought the bike for my wife for her birthday as she asked for one, so we both looked through the internet trying to find a cheap dual suspension mountain bike and we found the british eagle kudos. this was a great purchase but the only downside to it is that the brakes catch on both wheels hense the 4 stars but dont let the brakes put you off, its a strong, sturdy bike and very easy to assemble and you will need an extra pair of hands but overall a great bike.

My daughter was thrilled to receive the bike she wanted for her third birthday but tears of joy changed to tears of sadness when it became apparent that the front tyre had a puncture in it. As I am not the only one to come across this problem I assume that the manufacturer must be using inferior inner tube products.



Additional money spent on a puncture repair kit (not successful) and now a new inner tube. I'm not impressed with that service at all.



On the plus side, it is a very attractive bike, although clearly pink not red at the product description suggests.

I did read the customer reviews before ordering this bike so was a bit dubious about the quality. Needn't have worried - it is a good looking good quality bike - my son is delighted with it - haven't seen such a big grin on his face for ages.



Easy to assemble which i was thankful for - tip to get front wheel on is deflate tyre before inserting into forks.

When it came the box seemed a bit ruined. Everything else seemed fine, but when we were screwing them on the brakes didn't work properly because we couldn't tighten it. We couldn't tighten it because the bolt was kinda chipped. If we have to send it back it will cost us a fortune although i haven't checked out how to because i cant find how to contact them!

Ok, so I know that this is a cheap bicycle, but with a RRP of £89.99, I thought it may be the same quality of a Halfords £90 one (which incidently, are quite good!), anyway, I was wrong. I have seen better bicycles on the back of the scrapmans van. The bicycle arrived packaged as though it may have been a return, as the seat which was torn was wrapped in a pedal bin bag, and the wheel was cushioned with another bin-bag, all taped together with decorators tape. The frame was damaged with parts of the seam welding missing, the chrome bits on the brake levers (look on the photo) are in fact plastic, the cables were all twisted, fraying and loose. I really can't think of anything good to say about this bike, although it arrived within 48 hours of ordering, maybe they are that desperate to offload them but may I suggest another use of the bin-bags that are used for cushioning :-D anyway, it's being returned....I'm off to Halfords.
